Our History

Western Metrology Inc. started in 2002 as a small CMM programming company.  We primarily serviced aerospace companies across the USA and were engaged directly by Carl Zeiss Industrial Metrology, LLC to provide training support, specializing in custom on-site application training.

The business saw a steady growth adding CMMs, offline programming stations and personnel.  After a couple years, we started offering machining services in the Medical and Aerospace industries.  Due to Eastern market competition in the Medical industry, we decided to focus on Aerospace and found we had real talent in that field, especially Titanium Investment Castings.

We continued to grow both the Metrology and Machining services and we were approached by Carl Zeiss Industrial Metrology, LLC to be their distributor of CMMs in Oregon and Washington in 2006.

In our first year of ZEISS sales, we broke all previous sales records for the territory.

Our territory of CMM programming and training services grew to include over half of the United States as well as support in China, Mexico, Brazil, and Scotland.  In 2015, the Machining and Inspection services were sold to our largest customer at the time, Selmet Inc.  The Sales and Training services we maintained as Western Metrology Sales LLC.  In 2016, Selmet ceased to offer CMM Inspection and Programming services, so these services were moved to the new Western Metrology Sales organization.

Today

Today, we continue to be a leader in the Dimensional Metrology field.  We still offer our services across the country and have maintained our Oregon and Washington sales territory for Carl Zeiss Industrial Metrology.  We’re still breaking new records with ZEISS sales, have among the most complete inventories of ZEISS equipment on-site for demonstration and services, and a dedicated training room and equipment.
